Russia is one of the countries where the Turks have invested the most excluding the European countries where there are vast Turkish origin population, like Germany and France.
Among these investors, there are well known enterprises such as Koç, ENKA, Anadolu and Şişecam, as well as Turkish investors born and raised in Russia.
Turkish companies are mainly contractors providing construction services in Russia. However, apart from buildings for the Russian government and factories (the main activities), they also are investing in real state such us hotels and shopping centers. 150 of the 500 major Turkish investors in Russia are contracting firms. Turkish contractors have done the highest buildings in Russia so far, for example.

Rönesans Holding signed agreements for Amur Natural Gas Processing Plant, Sberbank, Moscow Regional Government and St. Petersburg tram, in St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). According to a written statement from Rönesans Holding, the company signed four agreements with SPIEF, which hosted executive managers from more than 100 countries in Russia.
47 companies from Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association (OİB) attended to Automechanika Moscow Fair in order to develop cooperation opportunities in Russia and accelerate export. The companies exhibited its products such as Turkish automotive spare parts, air brake and clutch systems, engine parts and vehicle filters in the area of approximately one thousand square meters. Turkish companies have the best technology and qualified labor force to meet the expectations of the Russian automotive industry and supplier industry. This makes Turkey one of the market’s first preferred suppliers. Turkey is also a country with investments in the Russian automotive market.
Turkish companies mark the CPM textile fair in Moscow, which is bringing together nearly a thousand textile manufacturers from many countries around the world. At the CPM exhibition there is this competition of Pro Fashion Masters which helps the young talents to show their products to the famous fashion designers and is carefully followed in Russia. At that contest the designers use Turkish fabrics, which were considered to be high quality and catchy.
In the ranking of foreign companies carrying the highest number of passengers in Russia, Atlas Global is one of the leading Turkish companies. Atlas Global ranked fourth in the list, with 17.000 seats per week. According to the Russian aviation report, Atlas Global increased its number of weekly seats in Russia by 70 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, and ranked fourth among all airlines and the first among foreign flagged airlines.
